Steve Norman – From Spandau Ballet to Live Aid and Beyond – the Hits, the Stories, and the Sounds
The heartbeat of Spandau Ballet’s success was tenor saxophonist Steve Norman, whose romantic solos on The 1980s pin-up Paul Young opened Band Aid, dazzled Live Aid, and enjoyed a number one dsuch hits as True and Through The Barricades helped to define their sound. In this new show, Norman plays some of Spandau’s biggest hits – he’s also a guitarist, vocalist, and percussionist – while remembering the remarkable tales of a band who played Wembley Stadium for Live Aid and toured the world - as well as his own adventures as a DJ on the party island of Ibiza. Expect classic Spandau tracks, and an evening of stories and chart-topping tunes, world tours, and break-ups.
